BBYF - PROGRAMS OFFERED BY BBYF

BBYF provides a variety of basic hygiene programs to the senior community to ensure their health and wellbeing. Often seniors have skin, hair and nail concerns which are easily compromised through denial of their presence and can be exacerbated by medical conditions and lack of proper care.

Services range from hair and skin cleansing to more therapeutic interventions such as foot care for Diabetics. BBYF also provides clinicians with expert training in geriatric aesthetic™ health and wellbeing while engaging these professionals in a volunteer capacity.

Beauty Becomes You™ PROGRAMS:

In The Spirit of Beauty Program - A Senior Safe Salon©™ program through which salons and spas donate a day, or portion of a week, where they provide their professional services to satisfy the seniors' aesthetic needs.  In return, their staff receives specialized training in geriatric aesthetics and the salon will receive local and national recognition as a "BBY Senior Safe Salon©™".

BBYF Student Volunteers - A Senior Safe School©™ program. Schools of Cosmetology, Esthetics, Nail Care, Massage and Geriatric Specialties (OT, or other) may volunteer to donate their time and services and learn the special needs of aging adults while they are in training.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Hosts and Hostesses - Students in Cosmetology, Esthetics, Nail care and geriatric specialties (OT, or other) may volunteer to manage inventory, ensure well being of the spa member, as well as, the licensed professionals giving of their expertise and time.

Rising Seniors Management - Management of facilities will be officiated by volunteers who have recently retired and have an interest in scheduling and managing the volunteer activity on site.  They will ensure that all facility needs are accounted for, review inventory reports, schedule members for services and account for volunteer participation.

Special Event Volunteers - If someone has a limited amount of time or want to share their special talents in fundraising, locating venues, and/or promoting events or other skills deemed helpful in event planning.  PLEASE let us know.

Volunteer Coordination - If you like to organize and guide individuals to where they are most needed. We need you.  Please complete our volunteer form.

Training Coordinators - As BBYF grows nationally we will need individuals to help in coordinating professional volunteers for their “Unique Training Program” in Geriatric Aesthetics™.
